Ingush elders complain they weren’t allowed to talk about the deportation

– Published on:

Ingush elders complained that on February 23, the 79th anniversary of the deportation of the Vainakhs, they were not allowed to speak at a memorial gathering in Nazran, according to the Fortanga telegram channel.

The elderly complained about it at a meeting of the teips council, which was liquidated as a public body by the republic’s Supreme Court. The accusatory speech of Mussa Khamkhoev, the representative of the teips council, in the Ingush language was published on the youtube channel. He said that the commemorative action with the participation of the head of the republic, Mahmud-Ali Kalimatov, lasted only 34 minutes and the old people did not hear about it, as well as the Karachais and Balkars who came to the rally. .

The officials’ accusations have not gone unnoticed. Relatives of the Minister of Foreign Relations, National Policy, Press and Information visited Mussa Khamkhoev, demanded that the charges be dropped and summoned the former to the Sharia court.
