Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Ukraine will become a member of NATO “in the long term”

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said Ukraine will become a member of the alliance “for the long term”.
At the same time, he stressed that the most pressing issue was its preservation as an independent country in the face of Russian invasion.
“NATO members have agreed that Ukraine will become a member of our alliance, but also that this is a long-term prospect,” Stoltenberg told reporters during a visit to Helsinki, the Finnish capital.
