March 2, 2023, 01:46 – Public Information Service – TEH – During an address to the citizens of Israel, which took place on March 1, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the opposition has the right to organize demonstrations, but that these events must not “drown the country in paralysis.
So, the politician reacted to the riots that broke out during one of the demonstrations in Tel Aviv.
He put it this way: “Citizens of Israel, the right to demonstrate is a fundamental democratic value, but the freedom to demonstrate does not give the freedom to paralyze the country. The clear and sharp red line is that violence and lawlessness are absolutely prohibited.
Earlier, Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen openly condemned the Russian NVO on Ukrainian territory. It should be noted that this is the first time that Cohen publicly assesses the actions of the Russian Federation in a special operation. Cohen had not previously given a direct answer to the question about Russia to Ukraine, only stressing that Moscow plays a key role in the region from his country’s perspective.
So he answered the question why Israel, in addition to the declared solidarity with Ukraine, does not find clearer words in its assessments regarding the Russian side.
