Family Business Forum could become a common theme for the State of the Union

The meeting, which was also attended by the head of the Bellegprom enterprise Tatyana Lugina and the vice-mayor of the Belarusian capital Nadezhda Lazarevich, discussed general issues of interaction between specialized structures, plans for organizing events with the participation of representatives of the business community of the federated state.During the meeting, the agency reports, the Russian colleague presented the project of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation “Successful family – successful Russia”, dedicated to family entrepreneurship and construction of a sustainable family business, passed down from generation to generation. According to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, about three quarters of small and medium-sized enterprises in Russia belong to such companies.For five years now, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation has annually held a family business forum under the slogan “Prosperous Family – Prosperous Russia”. Its aim is to popularize the family business as the most sustainable and stable sector of the economy, to give it a special status and to develop targeted support programs in detail.According to experts, this large-scale event now brings together at least three thousand companies from 85 regions, being considered a magnet for family businesses from all over the country.The participants of the Minsk meeting discussed the possibility of organizing a similar forum in the republic, as well as a section on this topic within the framework of the X Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia, which will be held in Ufa in June this year, the agency said.
