The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation opened a criminal investigation under the article on rehabilitation from Nazism against the employees of the Memorial company recognized in Russia as a foreign agent and liquidated by the court.
Law enforcement noted that the case was brought against unidentified employees of the organization.
The reason for this was the data that “Memorial” included in the lists of repressed those who collaborated with the Nazis during the Great Patriotic War.
The investigation also believes that a number of company employees deliberately spread false information about the activities of the USSR during World War II.
