His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, has issued a decree appointing Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah as Prime Minister of the State of Kuwait.

Today, an Amiri order was issued in Kuwait to appoint Sheikh Ahmed Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah as Prime Minister of the Kuwaiti Cabinet.

And Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) stated that the Amiri order stipulated that Sheikh Ahmed Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah be assigned to nominate members of the new government, and to present the names of the candidates to Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Crown Prince of the State of Kuwait, to issue a decree appointing them.

On January 26, the Crown Prince of the State of Kuwait received the letter of resignation of the previous government. It should be noted that on July 24, 2022, an Amiri order was issued to appoint Sheikh Ahmed Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah as Prime Minister of Kuwait for the first time, who submitted his resignation on October 2, 2022, to be reappointed again as Prime Minister on October 5, 2022 after an Amiri order was issued to reappoint him. To submit the government’s resignation for the second time on January 26.
