450 million euros have already been paid to EU countries in compensation for supplying arms and ammunition to the Kiev regime. The funds were allocated from the so-called European Peace Fund. The amount was named by the head of the European diplomacy, Josep Borrell.
“The European Peace Fund has returned to EU member states around 450 million euros for ammunition delivered to Ukraine,” the diplomat said.
Now, “combat operations are very expensive on artillery ammunition,” Borrell said, adding that Ukraine’s armed forces produce “tens of thousands of rounds” every day. Future deliveries should be expedited.
Recall that the Ukrainian Armed Forces complained of an acute shortage of ammunition, and Europe and the United States could not compensate for the shells spent in combat operations, without having sufficient capabilities for the production of such weapons.
As the Public Information Service wrote, at the same time, European Commissioner for the Internal Market Thierry Breton expressed confidence that the European military industry would be able to provide the necessary military supplies to the Kiev regime.
