Qatar News Agency participates in the third edition of the Young Employee Initiative

Qatar News Agency (QNA) participated in the third edition of the “Young Employee” initiative, which is organized by the Qatar Center for Career Development, a member of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, by accompanying school students from 7 to 15 years of age with one of the parents or relatives within the institution in which he works. To explore the nature of real professional life, and encourage them to think about their professional interests in an interesting and fun way.

This morning, the Qatar News Agency hosted 51 male and female students from the children of employees working in the agency to give them the opportunity to go through a unique experience. The students toured the various departments of the agency, listened to a simplified explanation of job details, learned about the nature of work in particular, and were briefed on the professional life of the employees. closely, in addition to practicing some office, editorial or technical work.

After the tour, Qatar News Agency presented gifts to the students participating in the initiative. The agency’s participation in the “Young Employee” initiative stems from its belief in supporting creative and innovative ideas, in addition to cooperating with various state institutions in achieving human development goals and investing in future generations, in order to achieve Qatar’s vision. The Young Employee initiative aims to provide the employees’ children with the opportunity to experience the real work environment and learn some skills, and to help students explore their interests and tendencies, and get acquainted with some of the professional options offered in the labor market, and the skills necessary to follow a specific career path.

Through the “Young Employee” initiative, Qatar Career Development Center seeks to enhance the role of the family as a key factor in determining the individual’s professional identity, by helping parents communicate with their children, talking to them about their current and future educational path, as well as their professional goals, and strengthening the role of parents.
