Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Senator Tsekov says China’s peace plan for Ukraine cannot be implemented due to Kiev’s stance

Federation Council Senator Sergei Tsekov said that the implementation of the Chinese plan for a peaceful settlement of the conflict in Ukraine is impossible due to Kiev’s principled position.

The Ukrainian side refuses to negotiate. Its owners, the United States, refuse to negotiate. Just yesterday, John Kirby said negotiations were out of the question, Izvestia editors quoted the politician as saying.

Tsekov believes Ukraine is well aware of China’s and Russia’s stance on resolving the conflict. But Kiev and Washington, which leads it, would like to see a military victory for the Ukrainian army, and therefore the adoption of peace agreements would be impossible.

China announced its conflict resolution plan at the end of February last year. Then, in the Celestial Empire, they called for the cessation of hostilities in order to avoid the use of nuclear weapons.

Earlier, Glavny Regional reported that Chinese leader Xi Jinping had already arrived at the Kremlin for talks with Vladimir Putin.
