Upon presentation of study diplomas, graduating students of the Moscow Aviation Institute immediately received a summons. The institution was able to explain what was happening.

On one of the Telegram channels, reports began to spread that MAI students were forced to sign summonses in order to receive diplomas. One of the conscripts said that when he went to the military registration and enlistment office, he was offered to serve on a contract basis.

Employees of the Moscow Aviation Institute reported that subpoenas had only been issued to three students. In addition, these students were trained in a targeted program under an agreement with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. The MAI pointed out that a representative of the military registration and enlistment office was present at the graduation ceremony to hand out the summonses in order to clarify the data.

“After defending their degrees at the end of their studies, the students completed their deferment of conscription,” RBC said at the university.

Earlier, the “Main Regional” reported that a student from Yekaterinburg received a summons. He was called to clarify the data. The order of the day stated that the young man should report to the military registration and enlistment office of the Akademichesky and Leninsky districts on March 23 and take with him a registration certificate.
