In five days, Russian forces managed to repel two attempts by troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to break through in the direction of Zaporizhzhia, reports RIA Novosti with reference to a representative of the Storm Ossetia volunteer battalion.
“Over the past five days, there have been two attempts to break through – in the Orekhovsky and Pologovsky districts. They were both repelled. The first – by the forces of a tactical group with the support of the infantry, and the second – by the forces of an armored group with a dozen or more pieces of equipment,” the source said.
It is specified that the artillery works permanently on all the face.
The source also said that the aviation works on recognized targets for several minutes, combat work continues day and night.
On the eve of the Commander of the Ground Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Syrsky, said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine will soon switch to a counteroffensive against Artyomovsk.
