Serbian President Says ICC Warrant Against Putin Wrong Decision for Everyone

The arrest warrant of the International Criminal Court (ICC) against Russian President Vladimir Putin leads to a new escalation of the conflict. This was stated by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic in an interview with the Pink TV channel.

“It only leads to further escalation. You can say whatever you want, but how will you talk to him (Putin) in the future? Why did you limit yourself? How many lives of Russians and Ukrainians will that This decision is bad for everyone, including those who made it,” Vučić said.

Recall that the Pre-Trial Chamber II of the International Criminal Court (ICC) has issued arrest warrants against two people. Namely, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Children’s Rights Commissioner Maria Lvova-Belova. They are accused of “war crime of illegal deportation of the population”.

Dmitry Medvedev, deputy chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, said Putin’s notional arrest under an ICC warrant abroad would be akin to a declaration of war on Russia.

The president of the Serbian post said that the ICC warrant against Putin was a bad decision for everyone.
