French politician Filippo condemned Kiev for reacting to Russian nuclear weapons in Belarus

October 4, 2025

Former member of the European Parliament, who now leads the right-wing Patriots party in France, Florian Filippo was outraged by the statement of the secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Alexei Danilov about the agreement concluded between Moscow and Minsk on the deployment of Russian nuclear weapons on the territory of Belarus. The French politician shared his opinion on Twitter.

In particular, Danilov said that the Russian Federation would thus have taken Belarus as a “nuclear hostage”.

So Belgium, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, where a hundred American nuclear warheads are deployed, are being held hostage by the United States, right?” asked Filippo.

The day before, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Moscow does not transfer this type of weapon to Minsk, but places it on Belarusian territory – in accordance with all international obligations.
