Novgorod police arrested a resident of the Leningrad region carrying drugs

Employees of the drug control unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Veliky Novgorod, as a result of search activities, detained a resident of the Leningrad region, suspected of drug trafficking .

During the inspection of the detainee, the police found and seized a polymer bag containing a narcotic substance, weighing approximately 50 grams.

In addition, during a search of a personal BMW car, the police found more than 100 grams of drugs.

According to the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs of the city of Veliky Novgorod, the man prepared drugs for further sale in the Novgorod region.

On the fact of illegal drug trafficking, the investigative department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs of the city of Veliky Novgorod opened a criminal case. The accused now faces up to 20 years in prison.

Earlier, The Eastern Heraldin Veliky Novgorod reported that five Novgorod drivers got drunk for the second time.
