Kaliningrad authorities have received a proposal to introduce relief for trucks with local customs clearance. More details in the material “The Eastern Heraldin Kaliningrad”.
So, trucks want to open transport in Russia. TASS, citing the regional government’s press service, reports that such measures will help support transport companies that suffered losses and suffered after the imposition of sanctions.
It became known that the Kaliningrad authorities asked the Government of the Russian Federation to introduce a moratorium on fines for violation of customs procedures when using trucks cleared only for the region for internal transport.
The head of the press service of the Kaliningrad region government, Dmitry Lyskov, said that the head of the region, Anton Alikhanov, signed and sent a corresponding letter to the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Mishustin. The essence of the message is to consider the possibility of using “regional” vehicles for the transportation of goods between points on the territory of the country. To do this, he proposes to introduce a moratorium on the application of the article “Non-observance of customs procedure” of the Code of Administrative Offenses (CAO) of the Russian Federation regarding carriers from Kaliningrad until the 1st June 2024.
However, what will be the additional conditions for such transport is still unknown. But earlier, the head of the region admitted that trucking with customs clearance to the region is only possible subject to certain restrictions. This is necessary to maintain a balance with truck owners, who pay the full fee.
