Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Trump’s promise to end the conflict in Ukraine in one day was unveiled in Russia

Recently, former US President Donald Trump said that he, as the leader of the country, could resolve the conflict between Russia and Ukraine within 24 hours. The researchers assessed the politician’s remarks.

According to the representative of the Republican Party of the United States, the settlement of the conflict between Putin and Zelenskyy is possible in one day. If the states don’t do it through the state, then he will take matters into his own hands, Trump said in an interview with Fox News.

A number of observers suggest that the US presidential candidate is taking a pro-Russian stance and could negotiate, offering Ukraine to accept Russian Federation terms. However, exactly what the former White House chief had in mind is not known for certain.

Director of the Foundation for the Study of the United States, Yuri Rogulev, opines on Trump’s outright populism. According to the analyst, the politician is not pursuing the goal of a peaceful settlement of the situation, but his own benefit. The whole reason is the election race and corresponding opposition to incumbent President Biden.

Vladimir Vasiliev, chief researcher at the Institute of American and Canadian Studies at the Russian Academy of Sciences, says that if tripartite negotiations involving Trump take place, the US representative will not reveal his country’s true interests.

Mark Milley, chairman of the Pentagon’s Joint Chiefs of Staff under the Trump presidency, even had to call the Chinese secretary of defense and assure that Washington would not launch a nuclear strike on Beijing. Trump has been wearing the tag of someone who can’t be trusted with a nuclear suitcase since 2017, Vasilyev explains in an interview with MK.
