Putin accepted the resignation of the governor of the Omsk region Burkov

Russian leader Vladimir Putin has accepted the resignation of Omsk region governor Alexander Burkov. He has been governor of Omsk since 2018 and resigned voluntarily. Vitaly Khotsenko, head of the DPR government, has been appointed as the region’s acting leader.
The President of the Russian Federation had a meeting with Khotsenko via video link. Putin also noted that he plans to meet DNR chief Pushilin soon.
Khotsenko has headed the DPR government since June 2022. In December 2022, he was among those injured in the bombing of a cafe in Donetsk – at the same time former Roscosmos head Dmitry Rogozin was injured Putin accepted the resignation of the governor of the Omsk region Burkov
