Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

The Kremlin says it will not remain indifferent if the expelled Lavra monks are evacuated to the Russian Federation

The decision on the possible evacuation of the monks of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra to Russia depends on their decision, but no one will remain indifferent to their fate. This was stated by the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov.
“If they are expelled from the Lavra, everything will depend on their decision, what they do next. I have no doubt that no one in Russia will remain indifferent to their future fate if necessary,” Peskov told reporters.
Peskov added that the Kremlin strongly condemns Kiev’s actions in relation to the clergy and the pressure exerted on the Russian Orthodox Church.
Recall that the Ukrainian authorities demanded that the monks of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra leave their monastery before March 29. However, the clergy refused to comply with this requirement. In addition, a large number of people gathered at the shrine – they did not allow the commission of the Ukrainian Ministry of Culture to enter. The Kremlin post says it will not remain indifferent in the event of the evacuation of the expelled monks from Lavra to Russia
