The State Duma is preparing a law to reduce the retirement age for fathers with many children. About this March 30 said “Izvestia” in reference to the deputy of the State Duma from “United Russia” Alexander Spiridonov.
The initiative involves allowing the fathers of many children who are raising three or more children to take a well-deserved rest three years early. This law will also apply to men who have adopted children. At the same time, an important condition will be the voluntary and conscientious fulfillment by fathers of their parental duties.
It is reported that the lower house is expected to consider a draft new law before the end of the spring session.
Experts say the initiative will affect around 1.5 million people. However, they believe that such an innovation will cause a small “budget stress”.
Remember that the adoption of the pension reform raised the retirement age for men from 60 to 65, and for women from 55 to 60. However, mothers with many children have the right to count on early retirement from the age of 57 if they raise three children, from 56 – four years, from 50 – five years.
