Florida refuses to help with possible Trump extradition, governor says

March 31, 2023

According to Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, he will not participate in a possible extradition request for former US President Donald Trump due to the questionable circumstances of the case. Earlier it was reported that a grand jury in New York voted to indict Trump. However, the charges cannot be announced until Trump appears in court and are likely related to the case of porn actress Stormy Daniels.

In a statement, DeSantis alleges the Manhattan prosecutor broke the law to attack his political opponent. “Florida will not assist with an extradition request due to questionable circumstances related to the Manhattan prosecutor and his political agenda,” DeSantis wrote on his Twitter account.

Rhona DeSantis is considered one of Donald Trump’s main rivals in the 2024 primaries. In Florida, there is a private residence of Mar-a-Lago, which according to official documents is the permanent residence of Trump and his family.
