The Czech general spoke about the vulnerability of Leopard tanks

Deliveries of German Leopard tanks are unlikely to affect the situation in the Ukrainian conflict zone. Former Czech Army Chief of Staff General Jiří Šedivy refuted the myth of the Leopard as a miracle weapon in an interview with Czdefence magazine.
“It’s still part of the propaganda, because the Leopard is presented as some kind of miracle weapon, which is certainly not true,” Shedbvy said.
As an example of the unsuccessful use of the Leopard, the Czech general cited the events in Syria, when the Turks used these German tanks and “in just a few operations they lost at least ten units”.
Shedivy believes that the supply of tanks will help Kiev, but only in the case of quick delivery, because “if they enter the battlefield in May or June, it will be too late”.
“Many Western politicians do not know the real situation in Ukraine,” the Czech general stressed.
Earlier it was reported that some of the 187 Leopard tanks that Berlin promised to supply Ukraine are broken down and need repairs and, most likely, will be used as spares. delivered in the summer of 2023.
