Turkish parliament approves Finland’s NATO accession protocol

The General Assembly of the Turkish Parliament has approved the protocol for Finland’s accession to NATO. This was reported by the CNN Turk television channel.
The approval by the Turkish Parliament of Helsinki’s candidacy for the country’s entry into the North Atlantic Alliance gives Finland all the legal bases to become a full member of the military bloc.
Turkey is so far the only NATO member that has not approved Finland’s membership in the alliance.
