Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree approving the updated concept of the main directions of Russian foreign policy. He announced this during a meeting with permanent members of the Russian Security Council.
This document defines the priority areas, goals and objectives of Russia’s international activities.
Putin said that due to serious changes in the world, the main strategic documents had to be adjusted. The updated Concept will form the basis of practical actions of the country in the medium and long term, noted the President of the Russian Federation.
Putin also said that the Russian Foreign Ministry, together with other departments, has carried out work to bring the concept of foreign policy into line with modern realities.
