Ministries and institutions light up their buildings in blue to celebrate World Autism Day

A number of ministries and institutions in Qatar lit up their buildings in blue, in celebration of the World Autism Spectrum Disorder Awareness Day, which falls on April 2 of each year.

The Ministry of Justice illuminated the Ministry’s building in blue, in support of the efforts of the State of Qatar in the global humanitarian campaign to raise awareness of autism and in solidarity with the organized campaign "Autism speaks".

Hamad Medical Corporation participated in the support and lit the multi-storey parking building at Hamad Medical Corporation in blue, to celebrate World Autism Day, under the slogan (Towards an inclusive world of difference – accept me as I am – I am autistic).

It is noteworthy that the designation of the second of April of each year as the International Autism Awareness Day comes based on a proposal submitted by the State of Qatar and adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in its resolution issued on December 18, 2007.
