Finland has officially become a member of NATO News

However, the country’s acceptance ceremony into the alliance did not end there. In the near future, the national flag of Finland will be raised in front of NATO headquarters in Brussels. The ceremony is expected to bring together not only Finnish Foreign Minister Pekka Haavisto, but also Finnish Defense Minister Antti Kaikkonen and President Sauli Niinistö.

Incidentally, the ceremony in Brussels is timed to coincide with NATO’s own anniversary – the 74th anniversary of the signing of the treaty establishing the military bloc (April 4, 1949).

Meanwhile, the NATO flag had already been hoisted on April 4 in Helsinki in front of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. According to AP, people have already started taking photos of his background.
