Putin said sanctions against Russia would stay for a long time

Sanctions against Russia will remain for a long time. This statement was made by Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting of the Presidium of the State Council, the main topic of which is the development of industry in the face of sanctions pressure.

“Today, given the dynamics of the situation, we will determine the next steps in the development of the industry. I would like to emphasize here that we all understand that the sanctions, of course, are long-term, therefore, along with the priority measures of replacing imported technologies and products, medium- and long-term transformations are needed here, aimed at the strategic goals of the country’s sovereign development,” Putin said.

According to him, the work in operational and extremely intensive mode gives positive results, a new cycle of growth of the Russian economy has been registered. The President of the Russian Federation noted that the country managed to concentrate its efforts and resources to ensure the stability of the economic situation.

At the end of March, Putin said that sanctions in the future could have a negative impact on the situation of the country’s economy and called for working on domestic demand.
