Americans must cease all official contact with Taiwan and the island’s ruling Democratic Progressive Party, China’s Defense Ministry said in a statement.
The Defense Ministry document says China strongly protests against any official contact between the United States and Taiwan.
The penetration of Taiwanese leaders into the United States under any pretext and for any reason is also disputed.
“Strongly oppose US violations of the one-China principle and the provisions of the three US-China joint communiques, as well as any contact with the Democratic Progressive Party,” the Chinese military concluded.
