In Sochi, active work continues on the draft of a new general plan. He, as the city administration reminds, will determine the development of the resort until 2044. Oleg Kozinsky, Honored Architect of the Russian Federation, Vice-President of the Union of Architects of Russia, Member of the Urban Planning Council under the leadership of the City of Sochi, spoke about the features of a strategic urban planning document.
“Our colleagues have collected a large amount of information on the General Plan. We met them several times within the framework of the Urban Planning Council, discussed many subjects. Vacationing is a federal program. The program is the same as health.When we talk about resorts, we must understand that 12 tasks of national projects, the main ones of which are health, demographics, life expectancy of our people – the resort is responsible for these three parameters “said Oleg Kozinsky.
The mayor’s office reminded that the Sochi offices continue to work to familiarize the population with the preliminary version of the draft general plan. The corresponding order had already been given by the head of the city Alexei Kopaygorodsky. Residents can get acquainted with the general plan in the administrations of intra-city districts and the Krasnopolyansky district.
