The Investigative Committee opened a criminal investigation into the murder of Captain Igor Mangushev against an unidentified person. The information is provided in response to a request from State Duma Deputy Anastasia Udaltsova of the military investigation department for a joint grouping of troops (forces).
Mangushev was admitted to Stakhanov Central Hospital on the night of February 4 with a gunshot wound to the head. However, the criminal case was opened only on February 22, it is being conducted by the Lutuginsky interdistrict investigation department.
Coordinator of the unregistered party “The Other Russia” EV Limonov » Andrey Dmitriev said that without a public outcry, the case probably would not have moved forward. In addition, the expression “unidentified person” is perplexing.
“There are reasons to believe that the investigation has data about this very person, and even people. And in general, it has all the information necessary to solve the crime,” Dmitriev said.
As the regional head previously reported, Mangushev was fatally injured in the head on the night of February 3-4 in the town of Stakhanov. On the 8th he died. The circumstances of his death remain unclear.
