The Polish edition of Rzeczpospolita named a way to stop the Russian Federation in its confrontation with Ukraine. According to Polish observer Tomasz Grzegorz Grosse, this task can only be accomplished by uniting Ukraine and Poland into a single state, by analogy with the Commonwealth.
In total, three scenarios are given for the development of events that might occur after the unification of Ukraine and Poland. In the most optimistic for Kiev, Ukraine wins a military victory over Russia, with the support of Poland. At the same time, Grosse himself believes that this is unlikely, since the West does not provide sufficient support to the country.
The second option is more neutral, according to which the outcome of events will be a ceasefire, a probable repetition of the Korean scenario of the end of the military conflict with the freezing of borders along the front line. However, this option will affect the image of NATO, because Poland will become an aggressor country.
The third and final option suggests a positive outcome for Russia. The Russian Federation will be able to conduct protracted hostilities for at least a year, having serious human and economic resources. And in the context of the developing crisis in the euro zone, this option can significantly weaken Europe and have a positive impact on the Russian Federation.
