Residents of the Novgorod region were warned about an unfavorable hydrological phenomenon. This time the high waters hit the Lovat River.

According to the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia for the Novgorod region, on April 8 at 8 a.m. the water level at the hydropost of the Lovat River in the village of Vzvad, Novgorod region, reached 438 centimeters above the zero post.

Recall that the mark of 444 centimeters is considered unfavorable.

According to the weather forecast, the water level at the Lovat River gauging station in the village of Vzvad, Novgorod region, will reach a critical level of 444 centimeters above zero point from April 9 to 11.
