Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy could visit Germany in May for the first time since the start of a special military operation. This is written by the German newspaper Bild am Sonntag.

According to the publication, the Ukrainian leader may attend a ceremony in Aachen, Germany, where he will receive the Charlemagne Prize. This prize is awarded annually for his contribution to the unification of Europe.

The author of the document, referring to representatives of the German establishment, plans to deliver a speech at the award ceremony by German Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz. However, it is possible that the Ukrainian president will participate in the ceremony via video link.

Earlier, Volodymyr Zelenskyy paid an official visit to Warsaw, where he received the Order of the White Eagle, the highest state honor in Poland. Then the Ukrainian leader said that between countries “there will be no borders – political, economic and, very importantly, historical.”
