The American magazine Forbes published a list of cities in the world with the most billionaires, and Moscow ranks sixth in it. According to the magazine, 61 billionaires live in Moscow, 8 more than last year. The combined wealth of Moscow’s billionaires is $307 billion, up $92 billion from last year.


The richest resident of Moscow, according to Forbes, is Vladimir Potanin, chairman of MMC Norilsk Nickel, whose fortune is estimated at $23.7 billion. The list also includes Roman Trotsenko, head of investment firm AEON ($3.2 billion), Anatoly Sedykh, chairman of the board of United Metallurgical Company JSC ($1.8 billion) and Dmitry Pumpyansky, entrepreneur ($1.7 billion).

New York tops the list of cities with the most billionaires in the world with 101 billionaires and a total billionaire fortune of $616.8 billion. Michael Bloomberg is the richest New Yorker with a net worth of $94.5 billion. The list also includes Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Singapore and Delhi.
