Spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs: The renewed Israeli violations have an impact on the region as a whole

Dr. Majid bin Muhammad Al-Ansari, Advisor to the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, official spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, affirmed that the serious and renewed violations committed by the Israeli entity in Al-Aqsa Mosque and the ongoing escalation in the Palestinian territories represent a dangerous development whose effects extend beyond the region as a whole. In the media briefing organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Al-Ansari stressed that Al-Aqsa is a mosque and a sacred place for Muslims, and attempts to change this cannot be accepted in violation of all relevant international laws and decisions, calling on the international community to assume its responsibilities towards protecting the rights of the Palestinian people. He explained that the Qatari position on most issues has always been to reduce escalation by contacting and communicating with the various authorities and parties to ensure the protection of civilians’ lives, pointing out that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a strongly worded statement after the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque last Wednesday, in which it condemned in the strongest terms these violations that provoke the most. Of the two billion Muslims in the month of Ramadan, and also issued another statement last Friday, in which it held Israel alone responsible for the violence in the region and its blatant violations in Gaza and southern Lebanon. Dr. Majid Al-Ansari noted that His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, will visit Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, next Friday to participate in the consultative meeting of the foreign ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, Iraq, Jordan and Egypt to discuss Syria. Pointing out that the Qatari position is consistent and has not changed, which is to meet the aspirations of the Syrian people for a political solution and the Arab consensus on these moves. Regarding the visit of His Excellency Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al-Khulaifi, Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to Lebanon and his meeting with a number of officials and religious figures there, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that this visit aimed to explore and support reaching an agreement inside Lebanon, reconciling the political parties and supporting access to Agree so that Lebanon can get out of its current crisis in cooperation with the countries of the region, adding that the State of Qatar supports the Lebanese-Lebanese consensus to choose a presidential candidate and that it stands at the same distance between all parties and seeks to contribute to resolving the crisis by achieving consensus within Lebanon while standing at the same distance from everyone. Regarding the Qatari position on the Afghan caretaker government, Dr. Majid Al-Ansari stressed that when Qatar became involved in the Afghan mediation, its aim was to stop the human, economic and humanitarian bleeding and achieve peace for this people, continuing by saying "Ending the war is a great achievement that we are proud of and our role and efforts in promoting peace after the American withdrawal. As for the decisions of the Afghan caretaker government regarding restricting freedoms there, Qatar has issued many statements that support the work and education of women and the reintegration of Afghanistan into the international aid system.". The official spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs touched on the visit of His Excellency Sayyid Badr al-Busaidi, the Omani Foreign Minister, to Doha tomorrow, Wednesday, during which he will meet with His Excellency the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, and that it comes within the framework of repeated visits to exchange views on developments in the situation in the region in its various aspects, and that it will include discussions on the situation In Yemen, stressing that the State of Qatar supports any effort to achieve peace in the region and what achieves stability for the brotherly Yemeni people and supports the efforts of the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia because of its belief that disputes are resolved through peaceful means, which is the best and ideal option for any dispute between the parties. Dr. Majed Al-Ansari reviewed the efforts and movements of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs during the past week and its officials’ reception of a number of politicians and diplomats and their foreign participation, including the visit of the Jordanian Prime Minister Dr. Bishr Al-Khasawneh and the bilateral talks he held with Qatari officials, which were related to the field of economy, investment, trade and developments in the Palestinian arena. He also touched on the meetings of the committees between Qatar and the UAE to implement what was stated in the Al-Ula statement and work to restore relations between the two sides in all their aspects, and that these relations are developing positively, pointing to the meeting of His Excellency Dr. Ahmed bin Hassan Al Hammadi, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, tomorrow / Wednesday /, with His Excellency Mr. Jassim Muhammad Al-Budaiwi, Secretary General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf in Riyadh, and a delegation from the Kingdom of Bahrain to implement what was stated in the Al-Ula statement.
