The governor of Kursk met with veteran activists from the region.
The upcoming event was discussed – the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Battle of Kursk in 1943. Events will be held at the regional center, as well as in all municipal districts. At the meeting, the veterans supported the authorities’ decision not to hold a parade and fireworks on May 9 this year for security reasons.
Roman Starovoit also presented veterans of the Great Patriotic War with commemorative medals in honor of the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Battle of Kursk.
- Hope to see you soon and with our other respected veterans at the VE Day celebration. We will also certainly meet in August during the events dedicated to the anniversary of the Battle of Kursk, ”said the head of the region.
