Qatar releases 17 Iranians for violating its territorial waters

Hamid Reza Dehghani, Iran’s ambassador to Doha, said that the Qatari authorities released, on Tuesday, 17 Iranian sailors who entered the territorial waters by mistake.

The Iranian ambassador said – through his Twitter account – that with the help of the Qatari authorities, 17 Iranians were released along with their boats, who entered Qatar’s territorial waters by mistake.

He pointed out that their detained boats were also released, as the 17 sailors headed with their boats to Iran.
