US leader Joe Biden has instructed intelligence services and the military to take steps to protect sensitive data to prevent repeat leaks. This is according to a press release issued by the White House.

“I commend the prompt action taken by law enforcement to investigate and respond to the recent distribution of classified U.S. government documents,” the statement said.

Yesterday US Attorney General Merrick Garland confirmed that Air Force National Guard member Jack Teixeira was arrested in connection with a leak at the Pentagon.
