The Gorshechensky district court of the Kursk region sentenced a minor local resident to a term of restriction of liberty for six months for stealing a car (part 1, article 166 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) . This was reported by the press service of the authority.
According to the file, on the eve of the New Year holidays, the young man drank alcohol with friends in the bathhouse. After a while he was left alone in the business and decided to get on someone else’s vehicle. As he drove through nearby villages, he lost control and had a traffic accident, driving into a roadside ditch, damaging it.
When determining the sentence, the court took into account the identity of the accused, as well as the conditions of his life and upbringing. The verdict is still subject to appeal.
