In this context, Dr. Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Ghanem Al Thani, Director General of the General Department of Endowments, stressed, during a press conference, the importance of the historical role of the Islamic Waqf Foundation in adopting social responsibility and community participation, taking it into the hands of the needy and standing with people with special needs to overcome their suffering as an act. For his part, Mr. Talib Afifa, a member of the Board of Directors of the Qatar Society for the Rehabilitation of People with Special Needs, expressed his thanks and appreciation for the endowment support, and said: The relationship between the endowments and the parties concerned with people with disabilities is old and well-established, as we see many projects, programs and various assistance that were directed for the benefit of the beneficiaries. .
It is noteworthy that the Endowment Bank for Health Care is one of the important specialized banks at the local level, and it was established based on the historical role of health endowments in Islamic history. Therefore, the General Administration of Endowments did not ignore the health dimension of its activity within the framework of community participation, given that the advancement of health services in Societies are a measure of their development and growth.
