Anatoly Wasserman, a State Duma deputy from the “Just Russia – For the Truth” party, commented on his proposed bill on the storage of money by citizens. According to the parliamentarian, undeclared income can become an aggravating circumstance in criminal proceedings.
According to Wasserman, illegal acts in Russia are usually committed using cash rather than non-cash funds. As an example, the politician recalled the situation of journalist Ksenia Sobchak, from whom about one and a half million euros were confiscated.
