India Hong Xianhua, Consul General of the Chinese Consulate General in Mumbai, recently visited the World Trade Center and held talks with Chairman Dr. Vijay Ji Kalantri and members of the Management Committee. During this, the two sides discussed the status of China-India economic and trade cooperation, and exchanged comprehensive views on China-India relations, especially personnel exchanges, investment facilitation, trade deficit and tariffs. The two sides agreed that as two neighboring large developing countries, China and India have rapid economic development and strong economic complementarities. The two countries should strengthen cooperation and facilitate trade exchanges, so as to carry out the great rejuvenation of their respective countries, and bring benefits to the people of both countries.
Consul General Hong Xianhua said that as ancient civilizations with thousands of years of history, China and India have enough wisdom to solve problems that hinder bilateral cooperation. The two countries should set aside differences and seek common ground, join hands for common development. At the same time, both sides should support each other and make common efforts to promote exchanges in trade and other fields, achieving mutual benefit and win-win.
