Bangkok : A giant female panda died on Wednesday at a zoo in northern Thailand. Chiang Mai Zoo officials gave this information. According to officials, the name of this female panda was ‘Lin Hui’. Zoo director Wuthichai Muangmun said the cause of Lin Hui’s death was not immediately clear, but it appeared she had been ill since Tuesday morning. After eating the blood started coming out from the panda’s nose.

Wuthichai Muangmun said the panda was treated by a joint Thai-Chinese veterinary team but his condition worsened and he died on Wednesday morning. In a news conference broadcast on the Chiang Mai Zoo’s Facebook page, veterinarian Tevarat Wejmanat said the female panda was being checked daily and was already 21 years old.
