The National Institute for Astronomical Research in Egypt announced that tomorrow, Friday, is the first day of Eid Al-Fitr, according to astronomical calculations.
And the institute stated that the crescent of the month of Shawwal will be born immediately after the conjugation occurs today, Thursday, at six o’clock and one minute 14 in the morning, Cairo local time.
The National Institute for Astronomical Research confirmed that the new crescent stays in the sky of Makkah Al-Mukarramah for 23 minutes, and in Cairo for 27 minutes after sunset on the day of sighting, and in the governorates of the Arab Republic of Egypt, the new crescent remains in its sky for periods ranging from 24-29 minutes.
He explained that the new crescent remains in Islamic capitals and cities after sunset, on that day, for a period ranging between 10-35 minutes, commenting: Thus, the beginning of the month of Shawwal 1444 AH will be astronomically on Friday 4/21/2023 AD, the blessed Eid Al-Fitr.
