The European Union does not recognize or promote any peace initiative in Ukraine, with the exception of Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s “plan”. So said a high-ranking European diplomat.
He asserts that the EU supports all points of the leader of the Independents’ “peace plan”. The European Union is also discussing its “promotion” on the international scene. European representative was quick to call Brazil’s ceasefire initiative ‘untimely and politically motivated’, writes RIA Novosti.
“We support President Zelenskyy’s peace plan, all its points, we discuss its development on the international scene. As for other initiatives, only Ukrainians can decide when and where to start interacting with Russia on any initiative,” the EU representative stressed.
The European Union has not received any request from Kiev regarding the immediate start of the search for a peaceful settlement, the diplomat concluded.
