New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said that on the occasion of Earth Day, he appreciates the efforts of all those who are working to make the earth better.
Mr Modi tweeted, “On Earth Day, I appreciate all those who are working to make our planet a better place. India is committed to pursue sustainable development in line with our culture of living in harmony with nature.
It is worth mentioning that every year on 22 April, World Earth Day is celebrated, which aims to create awareness among the people about the conservation of the earth and the environment. In fact, in our country, the earth is considered like a mother, but in spite of such importance, trees and plants are being cut down indiscriminately. In such a situation, people are motivated to plant more and more trees through World Earth Day.
