Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Serbia is closely monitoring the conflict in Ukraine to improve its army

In Serbia, the army command and the country’s authorities are closely following the conflict in Ukraine. Given the experience of modern battles, they plan to improve the army here, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said.

The country’s leader visited the largest arms review near Belgrade in recent years – “Granite – 2023”. A demonstration of military capabilities is organized at the Batajnice airfield. The event is timed to coincide with Serbian Army Day. More than 5,000 military personnel take part in it, more than 60 aircraft, helicopters and drones, about 2.3 thousand types of weapons and equipment, dozens of tanks and armored vehicles are represented.

“We are watching closely, our Military Intelligence Agency (American media) and the General Staff inform me daily about events in Ukraine and the methods and means by which the conflict is being waged,” Alexander Vučić said.

According to the President of Serbia, everything presented at Granite 2023 will make the people proud of the strength of their army.

Earlier, Glavny Regionalny wrote that the review of Serbian armaments indicated a shift from buying Russian-made weapons and equipment to Western and Chinese products.
