Humanitarian work and the fear of people and the provision of aid to them are part of Qatari history and culture from time immemorial. A shift in Qatari humanitarian work What has earned Qatar an international reputation in humanitarian work is not only the provision of aid, but also the tendency of Qatari charitable organizations to provide production means, tools and acquire skills that enable the needy to rely on themselves.

Qatar is one of the largest donor countries. The total aid of the Qatar Fund for Humanitarian and Development for the year 2022 amounted to about $708 million, which made Qatar one of the largest donors and supporters of the least developed countries, according to a report by the Qatar News Agency.

Qatar Charity During the month of Ramadan only, Qatar Charity implemented charitable projects inside Qatar and 40 countries around the world, at a total cost of more than 118 million riyals.

File debtors inside Qatar Before the beginning of Ramadan this year, Qatar Charity announced that it had received a generous donation of 200 million riyals to support debtors, and the charity said that this generous donation will be allocated to support Qatari debtors due to their humanitarian and family conditions. "The amounts due from them will be settled in accordance with the relevant criteria".

The 27th Night Challenge In the 27th Night Challenge, Qatar Charity announced the collection of 32,999,944 Qatari riyals to build the City of Dignity in Syria and the City of Goodwill in Yemen to house more than 10,000 displaced people.

40 beneficiary countries Outside Qatar, Qatar Charity has implemented the Ramadan campaign in 40 countries through its field offices and local partners, focusing on disaster and crisis areas, at an estimated cost of about 31 million riyals, distributed over three main projects: Iftar for the fasting person and Zakat al-Fitr. Eid clothing for orphans. And

176 million beneficiaries According to Qatar Charity statistics, the number of beneficiaries of its humanitarian and development projects, which it implemented during the past 10 years, amounted to more than 176 million people around the world, at a total cost estimated at about 436.5 billion riyals.

The areas of intervention included food security, health, education, shelter, water, sanitation, social care, economic empowerment, capacity building, and training.

As for inside Qatar, over the past 10 years, humanitarian cases have been supported inside Qatar, estimated at 5.554 million riyals, benefiting thousands of categories of debtors, patients, divorcees, the elderly, widows, students, families with limited incomes, families of prisoners, abandoned women, and people with special needs.

Qatar Red Crescent The Qatar Red Crescent is one of the important arms of Qatar’s long hand in humanitarian work, and it is considered the most body that lost workers under its banner on the humanitarian side, whether by treachery (the Israeli occupation) through the bombing of its office in the Gaza Strip, as well as under the rubble of demolished houses during the earthquakes in Turkey And Syria, but he persisted in extending a hand of goodness and assistance to the peoples.

According to the latest statistics published by the Qatar News Agency, the total number of beneficiaries of its services and assistance during the past seven years alone reached 62 million people in 57 countries around the world, while the volume of assistance provided during the same period reached 3 and a quarter billion riyals.

The Qatar Red Crescent operates through 14 offices and representative missions in the most important countries in which it operates.


Billions of riyals and millions of beneficiaries around the world as a result of Qatar’s humanitarian and relief work over the past few years, a huge map that has made Qatar and its people the focus of the world’s attention in the relief, development and humanitarian aspects.
