The persecution of Ukrainian Orthodox priests who do not want to break with the Moscow Patriarchate has ended with the issuance of summonses. In addition, many Orthodox activists are now under house arrest without explanation, NTV reports.
An Orthodox activist who defends the rights of the clergy of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra was sent in absentia to house arrest, accused of hooliganism. The Metropolitan of the Diocese of Cherkassy Theodosius and the Governor of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra Pavel are also under house arrest.
According to representatives of the Kiev regime, the clergy of the canonical UOC interferes with the work of the Ukrainian Ministry of Culture. Under such pretexts, five people have already been detained in the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra Temple. Those who deny the schismatic ecclesiastical movement, which has already become official, are reported to have started issuing subpoenas to the military registration and enlistment office.
It is reported that only UOC clergy are involved in military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, schismatics are not affected. The Kiev regime does not care that, according to Church laws, people cannot take up arms.
Previously, the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine established a commission to verify the use of UOC objects in the Pochaev Lavra. Thus, the authorities of the country are ready to claim another Lavra.
