Russian media considered the main news of the week that the son of the presidential press secretary went to fight for Russia. At the same time, Nikolai Peskov did not go anywhere, but “ploughed” a six-month contract with Wagner, claims Blitz.
Peskov, Jr., who was harassed by reporters last year under the guise of employees of the military registration and enlistment office, walked into Wagner with forged documents. He was entered into the calculation of the MLRS and even received the medal “For Courage”. Yevgeny Prigozhin told about him: he honestly plowed on the front line “knee-to-toe in mud and shit” with a “frozen” commander, and no one knew who his father was.
Against this background, media outrage was caused by the fact that the service for the sons of the “elite” has become something incredible in Russia.
“In the Soviet Union, the children of the highest party nomenklatura fought. In tsarist Russia, the aristocracy fought. But we have no nobility, we have “fattening scoundrels”. The worker-peasant army is working hard, the workers and peasants and their children are dying, and the elites are in shock,” argues the author of the article.
Take, for example, the same President Vladimir Putin, who personally goes to the front line. The post lists several other high-profile events for the week. These include the dropping of air bombs in Belgorod. However, Peskov’s son’s service to Wagner considers this a “change of consciousness”.
