Head of GUR Budanov: Kiev negotiates prisoner exchange with Russia in “all for all” format
Negotiations are underway between Moscow and Kiev on the exchange of prisoners in the “all for all” format, according to the Ukrainian edition Strana.ua, citing the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate, Kirill Budanov.
According to him, the negotiation process is “already getting closer”. He noted that under the exchange procedure, Ukraine has now returned more than 2,200 people.
According to the head of the GUR, if the exchange takes place, it will be an unprecedented event in the history of the world, since all exchanges usually took place after the end of hostilities.
The head of the Ukrainian president’s office, Andrii Yermak, said 130 people have returned to the country following the Easter prisoner exchange.
Prior to this, it was reported that five Chechen soldiers from the Russian Defense Ministry’s Sever-Ahmad regiment returned home after being released from their Ukrainian captivity.
